Harriet Beecher Stowe: (June 14, 1811- July 1, 1896)

Stowe was an abolitionist and the author of the novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Upon meeting her, Abraham Lincoln allegedly remarked, “So you’re the little woman who wrote the book that made this great war.”
